Common Issues I Help people with
Many people come to see me because something in their life feels stuck.
They may have tried willpower, positive thinking or mindset strategies — yet the same patterns keep returning.
In my own lived experience — and later through the work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung — I came to understand that parts of our emotional life can be pushed out of awareness in order for us to cope. He called these hidden aspects the shadow.

When emotions remain buried, they can quietly influence our behaviour from beneath the surface. This is why we can understand something logically yet still struggle to change it.
My work focuses on gently bringing these deeper emotional patterns into awareness so they can be felt, understood and integrated.
When this happens, change tends to be more natural, lasting and sustainable, rather than relying only on surface-level strategies.
Below are some of the common issues people seek help with.
Anxiety & Overthinking
You may notice:
-
constant worry or racing thoughts
-
difficulty relaxing or switching off
-
feeling on edge without knowing why
Anxiety often develops when the nervous system has learned to stay in a state of alertness for long periods of time.
In our work together we explore the underlying emotional patterns and subconscious beliefs that keep the mind and body in this cycle, helping the nervous system gradually return to a more settled state.
Depression & Loss of Meaning
Depression can feel like:
-
emotional heaviness or numbness
-
loss of motivation or joy
-
a sense that life has lost its direction
Sometimes depression is not simply a chemical imbalance, but a signal that deeper parts of the psyche have been ignored or suppressed for too long.
By gently reconnecting with these deeper emotional layers, many people begin to rediscover meaning, vitality and connection with life again.
Weight Loss & Emotional Eating
Many people blame themselves for lack of willpower when it comes to weight.
In reality, eating habits are often connected to emotional states such as:
-
stress
-
loneliness
-
boredom
-
unresolved feelings
When the underlying emotional drivers are understood and integrated, the relationship with food can naturally begin to shift.

Addictions & Compulsive Habits
Addictive behaviours can include:
-
alcohol or substance use
-
smoking
-
gambling
-
pornography or sexual compulsions
-
constant phone or dopamine habits
These behaviours often develop as ways to escape uncomfortable inner feelings.
Rather than focusing only on stopping the behaviour, we explore the emotional states the behaviour is attempting to soothe. When these states are processed safely, the grip of the habit often begins to weaken.

Relationship Patterns
Many people notice repeating dynamics in relationships, such as:
-
fear of abandonment
-
attracting unavailable partners
-
people-pleasing
-
difficulty setting boundaries
These patterns often formed early in life as ways to maintain connection or safety.
Understanding these deeper emotional templates allows new, healthier relationship patterns to emerge.

Feeling Highly Sensitive or Overwhelmed
Some people simply feel everything very deeply.
You may notice:
-
strong emotional reactions
-
deep empathy for others
-
feeling overwhelmed by the suffering you see in the world
Sensitivity itself is not a flaw. In many cases it reflects a psyche that is naturally attuned to deeper emotional currents.

Learning how to understand and regulate this sensitivity can transform it from something overwhelming into a source of insight and strength.

Why Emotional Integration Matters
Many approaches focus primarily on changing thoughts or behaviours.
While these strategies can be helpful, they often work only at the surface level.
When deeper emotional material remains unresolved, the same patterns can quietly reappear over time.
By allowing these previously avoided feelings to be acknowledged and integrated, the psyche naturally moves toward greater balance and wholeness.
This is why the changes that occur through deeper emotional work often feel more stable and lasting, rather than temporary.
My Approach
My work integrates:
-
hypnotherapy
-
emotional and somatic awareness
-
subconscious pattern work
-
insights from depth psychology
Sessions are gentle, collaborative and focused on helping you understand the patterns shaping your inner world.

As these patterns become clearer and the underlying emotions are processed safely, many people experience greater calm, clarity and freedom in their lives.
