Is reality really as it seems?

There is a deeply ingrained mechanical loop within the human condition that treats the external world as a series of constant, urgent emergencies. The analytical mind is continuously drawn to the movie screen of life, working under the belief that it must manually micro-manage, fix, navigate, or control external circumstances—whether it is relationships, body appearance, financial numbers, or social scoreboards—in order to establish a state of safety and to feel loved.
The systemic effort spent trying to manually scrub problems off the external projection is immense. Yet, this entire dynamic is driven by a profound misunderstanding of the relationship between the physical container, your body and the relative environment.
This is the grand, intricate play of Life itself.
The Somatic Backlog and the Projection Paint Sprayer
The relative world is inherently, beautifully neutral. It exists as a blank quantum canvas of infinite potential.
What is actually occurring is that the physical organism (our body/ mind system) houses a vast, historical backlog of ancestral survival stress, childhood conditioning, and all that has been emotionally suppressed and trapped within the deep cellular fascia. The conditioned nervous system continuously tries to discharge and integrate this stored kinetic energy, flooding the plumbing with uninsulated chemical currents of adrenaline, cortisol, and raw somatic pressure. But the energy gets hijacked by the mind.
Because the critical censor of the left hemisphere cannot tolerate a raw, nameless physical storm inside the body, it panics. It demands a logical alibi to explain why the tissues feel so utterly overwhelmed.
To satisfy this demand, the conditioned system scans the blank, neutral canvas of the immediate environment, grabs whatever colour of paint matches its internal survival database, and goes to work spraying its own ungrounded data onto the scenery:
The Contrast of Fear and Lack: The system takes a faceless somatic clench in the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, eyes or head, looks at a completely neutral mirror reflection or business metric, and paints a frantic loop of inadequacy or urgency over it. The mind then declares: “The reason this terrifying pressure exists is because the body isn't perfect enough, or my business or relationship isn't successful enough to survive.” etc....
The Heavy Coating of Resignation: The system takes the dense, subcortical exhaustion of a redlining nervous system, coats the horizon in a thick layer of flat, heavy colour, and constructs an immediate narrative of failure, isolation, depression or static hopelessness simply to justify why the physical energy reserves have gone flat asleep.
Whether the paint is labeled as anxiety, depression, anger, grief, or lack of control, the underlying mechanics remain identical. The conditioned system is never actually reacting to an objective outside reality. It is simply spray-painting its own un-integrated, historical emotional backlog onto the world, and then entering a state of hyper-vigilant terror in response to its own holographic graffiti. It is a closed loop of its own making.
True Bravery: Surrendering the Manual Steering Wheel
The traditional self-help culture insists on trying to manually swap or improve the paint colours. It demands that the individual use mindset strategies, positive thinking, psychoanalysing or emotional policing to force a layer of maybe spiritual sparkly gold over the top of the red, blue or black. Always a sense of if I just try a little harder....
However, that approach is an exhausting performance track that keeps the nervous system in a sympathetic clench. It treats the internal reactivity as a defect that must be solved, which only shoots fresh adrenaline straight back into the plumbing.
True somatic resilience requires a completely different kind of bravery.
It is the radical courage to completely stop fighting the external movie screen projection. It is the willingness to let the mental stories and drama play out completely in empty space, put the paint can down, and bring attention straight back home into the physical container.
Rather than attempting to "fix" the emotional charge or force the tissue clench in the body to unlock, the conscious breath is introduced simply to build a wide-open, nurturing buffer zone around the raw tightness. The system then allows the physical reactivity to be exactly as intense, heavy, or uncomfortable as it needs to be, without needing an analytical story to explain it, and without an urgent requirement to achieve a resolution.
This is how suppressed backlog is finally integrated and ceases to perpetuate your life 'dramas'. It returns to pure potential.
The Automatic Return to Timeless Balance
When the conditioned system stops treating its own internal processing waves as a terminal life-or-death emergency, the manual control loops run completely out of fuel.
The chemical fire of adrenaline and cortisol naturally recedes. The stored historical backlog is finally given a clear, un-dammed pathway to safely thaw and ground.
The rigid defensive structures of the mind collapse because they are no longer needed, and the central nervous system drops automatically back into its natural, effortless baseline of Ventral Vagal safety, love, openness and curious flow.
The grandest joke of the entire human journey is that when the inner energy system is given space and time to return to this natural balance, the relative movie screen (the play of life) automatically, mathematically reorganises itself to reflect this absolute freedom. The canvas of reality is revealed to have been pristine, untouchable, and eternally clean the entire time.
As always if you’d like a guide on your journey of awakening I’m always here.
